When was the last time you were framed by Monet

How many times have you said, a picture tells a story or reflects a thousand words? This is a statement that captures the essence of something meaningful and often conveys a mark in history. We recognize that places we have traveled provide a roadmap of our legacy and therefore we must make the most out of every day. You may have heard that life is short and therefore we must live life to the fullest. These words are spoken so often in my line of work and for some they have never had the time to explore the world afar. You see, many have waited for years to have time to travel and then the most tragic moment hits, leaving time for nothing but shattered memories.

Why you may ask, do we not enjoy the seasons of happiness and release our passion for making time for ourselves. Today’s society is filled with more work related duties and few experiences of joyful memories. The world will continue to evolve with a desk filled with papers, a computer filled with emails and a home filled with chores BUT your heart will be forever filled with pain when you limit the many moments you could have shared with your loved ones. Have you ever stopped to define the word work and why we do it continuously, it is ongoing and will be there for generations to come. However, our time is ticking and our time is now to remove the stress of not painting a picture of happiness. If a group of people were given a time capsule, many would hide it away for the future. Our future is not permanent as our suffering is light and temporary and is producing for us an eternal glory that is greater than anything we can imagine as noted in 2 Corinthians 4:17. When was the last time you were framed and where was the location of the caption. Well for me, it was Melbourne, Australia a place completely across the world from my homeland. A place where it was winter while back home it was summer. A place where cars appeared to be on the wrong side of the road yet for my friends down under, it was all right. This was a place where the leaves were falling and the grass was greener. This was a place where I took time for self and smelled the roses which were in full bloom. We may not travel around the world to detach but we should all find that happy place. I really enjoy listening to the waves on the beach and walking in the sand but I love the feel I get when I am taking my mother shopping for things neither of us need. You see, finding that it factor is your “monet” of a beautiful illustration that replenishes your soul.

Twenty years ago we did not have the option to share images and flood our social media accounts. Yet, today we often seek to make it appear life is richer and better from the public image perspective, when in reality we will all live out a life sentence. In other words, it will end for all and when it does how will you be remembered. I heard a quote that went something like this; no one will remember all of the hours you spent at the office but the ones you left at home. I think that is the real frame work of this blog and if it did not get your attention, it certainly did hit my heart strings. Life is filled with many ups and downs as well as many memories so get out there and curate your story with lasting images that leave a special history between the dash.

The ministry of service for humanity grants us so much more than a world filled with hate and discord. Take a moment to touch the hands of those who can no longer hold a brush.
